An Update on Embolization for Pulmonary Arteriovenous Malformations

Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations are abnormal connections between a pulmonary artery and vein that can lead to ischemic stroke brain abscess due right-to-left shunting of blood. Embolization is currently considered the first treatment option for owing its minimal invasiveness. This review updates indications techniques embolization determines persistence following based on most recent literature.
